In January 2011, look for the
long, long, long awaited story that was hinted at at the end of
Dream of
Me. My story (working title:
When Night Fell
Upon Us) will appear in an as-yet unnamed anthology
from Dorchester. My novella will tell the tale of how a
human boy born in Transylvania and nicknamed 'son of the
dragon' -- because his father was known as Draco, a.k.a. Dragon
-- goes from being mortal to something entirely
different. All in the name of love, of
course.

I am looking forward
with great excitement to the March 2011 release of
WAKE UNTO
ME, my very first Young Adult novel, from
Puffin Books. There's romance, mystery, and whole lot of
the paranormal, all set in an ancient castle in the Perigord
Noir region of France. I worked like a madwoman on this
book, rewriting it top to bottom several times as I tried to
bring to the page the complex, eerie, and romantic story that I
envisioned in my imagination. It's like nothing else out
there in the Young Adult romantic market, and I hope you give
it a try!

MY ZOMBIE
VALENTINE, an anthology from
Dorchester, was released in January,
2010. Other authors in
the anthology include Katie MacAlister, Marianne Mancusi, and
Angie Fox. I've read their stories, and they're a
hoot!

I'm presently finishing up MY
SUMMER AS A SEX VIXEN, a comic,
raunchy, bawdy contemporary romance for Pocket Books.
Release date will be Sept
2011.
~~~
After that.... I'm not
sure yet what I'll be working on. I have ideas for
several sequels to WAKE UNTO
ME, as well as ideas for some comic
contemporary romances. And then there's the
always-in-the-back-of-my-mind sequel to the books COME TO ME
and DREAM OF ME. So many ideas, so little
time...
I took a road trip to the Olympic Peninsula of Washington with
the hubs and some friends in early December. We stayed at
the Quileute Oceanside Resort, on the Quileute Reservation --
those of you who are Twilight fans will recognize the
name. No werewolves sighted, alas. My cousin, by
the way, is the biology teacher at Forks High School; it was
fun to hear his take on living the Twilight life for
real. It was a beautiful stay on the coast, cold but
clear. The photo below was taken at Second
Beach.
