WHERE: 4622 Drayton Harbor Road, Blaine, WA 98230
Google Maps shows the location pretty well. From Blaine Rd, go west on Drayton Harbor Rd (there’s a gas station at the intersection). Immediately BEFORE the little bridge, turn RIGHT into the gravel driveway. Follow it into the trees; it will curve left, then right, and then on your left you’ll see an open metal gate and a dirt driveway. That’s us! Follow to the end and find parking. (Or if there’s no parking, you can park just outside the gate; there’s a wide spot that will serve.)
SLEEP: You can bring a tent and such, if you wish. There are also two single beds available in the guest room, and two single beds on the porch. Also a hide-a-bed in the living room.
PAT: we have sheets and blankets you can use on one of the single beds.
WHAT TO BRING (applies to everyone but Pat):
Tent
Sleeping bag, pillow (we have extra pillows if you need them; bring cases)
Swimsuit
Bath towel, face towel
Water gear like Tevas, quick-dry shorts
Books
Stray bottles of wine and misc. alcohol
WHAT NOT TO BRING: fireworks, including sparklers. Super dry conditions up there.
FOOD:
This year, I’m thinking we’ll do things a little different. Breakfast will still be your own choice. We’ll have coffee and half & half available, but whatever else you’d like is up to you.
Lunch and dinner, I’m thinking, will be a group effort.
I’ll provide the Drink of the Day and the dinner entrees, and the members of UK can choose what meals or courses they want to take on. Working in small groups might make it easier, but it’s up to you guys. Below is a rough beginning to organizing it. Discuss on the Cabin Weekend event page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/1663243180579297/, or email me. All you need to do at this point is sign up for a slot; you don’t need to know WHAT you’ll bring/make.
And remember, there are grocery stores nearby. You don’t have to pack up loads of food from home.
